Wordless Wednesday! :)

I can do all things

through Christ that gives me strength. :) I love that Bible verse I am using it a lot these days. Between waiting on my sister to get back from Ethiopia with our sweet Mercy to Spring Break @ the campground with the kids to Cabinet Man drama. That verse has been steadily been stirring in my spirit.

I have to say when I saw my sister walking down those stairs at the airport with my precious neice in that sling I lost it. It was one of the happiest times of our families lives. That little girl is so beautiful and I just can not get enough of her! When I say beautiful I mean it. That skin is amazing and those eyes melt me. When I finally got to say Hello to her she put her hand out to my face and rubbed my face and nose. It was like hey your different let me touch you! It is so nice to finally have a baby girl back in the family! We love our boys don't get us wrong but girls are so much more fun to shop for.

We went down to the campground for spring break. The kids had a blast hanging out with there favorite people on the planet. Corey and Cortney ha ha they are our 18 year old twins we go watch play ball. They are seniors this year :( WOW where does the time go. The girls rode bikes, played at the sand pit, game room, put put, playground. You name it the kids did it. One of my good friends came down with her family and staid the day with us. It was WONDERFUL we had a great meal and wonderful talks. I laughed so hard at her husband. He is a big ol goofball.

We get home to find out that our cabinet guy decided to drop us out of the blue. I seriously sat down in the floor and cried. Cabinet people are not easy to just call and say hey can ya come to my new house and build my cabinets. I mean come on they have waiting list 6 months to a year long. We started interviewing ppl and finally on day two found a guy. He has some very neat idea's and I am really excited about him making our cabinets. It was a God thing and there is no doubt. I walked into his shop and the song playing LOUD in the shop was Chris Tomlin singing "How Great Is Our God" I thought OK GOD I HEAR YA! ha ha :) So

There has been a lot going on in our lives as you can tell. I trying to just trust the Lord to take care of everything, but I have to admit I am by nature a worry wart! It is not easy for me to hand things over but in the end I realize there is nothing I can do with it that I have to give it to the Father so I do. He is the only one that can honestly handle all the stress of my world! How great is our God! That he would worry about everything we worry about. My Cabinets, to my Uncles Cancer to whatever it is that you are worrying about. Give it to the father he cares for you and only wants good things for you. No matter where you are no matter what you have done he cares for you and loves you. Come as you are! It's so simple say these words. Jesus I love you I need you come into my life today make me a new creation. Trust me he will show up! :) He is the only reason I am here today with the life I have today! No I am not perfect I make mistakes on the regular but the one who is perfect loves me just the same! I hope everyone has a great Thursday. I know I am going to have a great day. I get to have lunch with my bestie she just announced she was preggy to everyone. So we will have much to talk about! Have a wonderful rest of the week. Blessings

Update On Uncle John!

I finally got a hold of my Aunt late last evening. Uncle John came through a very long surgery just fine. They were able to remove the largest of the 3 tumors on his brain relieving all of that cranial pressure. They also were able to put some sorta plate on the other two tumors so that when he starts radiation it will know exactly where to go. When I talked to my Aunt last night she was extremely exhausted and really needing some sleep. She could hardly carry on a conversation. (she is a cancer survivor herself and needs a lot of rest) She said that Uncle John was still in the ICU only because they could not find him another room but once one came open he would be moved from the ICU. PRAISE THE LORD for his hand of protection and provision.

The doctors said that this is lung cancer that has spread to his brain. They are not worried about his lungs right now they are more worried about the tumors on his brain and once they get that under control then they will get to working on his lungs. He starts 10 days straight of radiation in the next few days. Right now there is no plan for chemotherapy. Thank you so much for all who have emailed called or text checking on him. It's so wonderful to have ppl standing in agreement with our family for our Uncle. Keep the prayers for him a coming he has a long road ahead of him and if you don't mind please pray for my Aunt as well. We worry about her being so stressed and run down taking care of Uncle John. I can not say it enough Thank You Thank You Thank You! You are a blessing!

Urgent Prayer Request!

I just got a call from my Mother who talked with my Aunt Diane (Wingfield) Lafferty. Her husband was just diagnosed over the weekend with brain and lung cancer! Aunt Di called to tell Mom that they were taking Uncle John back this morning for surgery to try and remove the largest of the tumors. Please join with me and my family as we lift our Uncle up in prayer. We serve a great big God that can do more than we ever dreamed of. Please pray that they will be able to remove all of the tumor and for the surgeons and nurses that they will be able to do their job with procession! My Aunt has kicked cancer more than once herself. My Aunt is an amazing woman of God and one of the biggest Prayer Warriors I know she has joined me many times in praying for the prayer request you guys have sent me. So please join with us this morning in prayer for John. Thank you so much! Blessings

Prayer's needed!

Guy's I know it's been a while since I have blogged and I honestly have 2 blogs I am working on but just have not posted yet :) Right now I wanna ask that you would lift my husband's cousin and his wife up today in prayer. They are wonderful people and have opened up there home for the last year to a precious little boy to be his foster parents. They have had him since he was just a few days old. Well the baby's aunt and uncle from D.C have come to town this past weekend to reclaim there nephew. Jennifer and Brandon will have to give this baby away today. Please pray for peace and comfort. It's heart breaking and I can not imagine what they are going through. Please stop and say a prayer for Brandon and Jennifer today and their two little girls. Thank you guys so much! I appreciate it and so will the rest of our family! It's not easy watching your family member's going through something so hard!

I AM AN AUNT AGAIN! :)

I had to update all of my blogger buddies about what's been going on. However every time I try to talk about it I get all weepy and can hardly see to type or should I say see to correct my type-o hee hee We had a very long weekend or so it seemed. I have been talking for months and months and months about my sister's adoption and the ups and downs. Well this past Saturday morning she left Alabama and headed for Africa. We (like I am traveling) had a few bumps along the way. Her flight was delayed in Hsv to ATL then her flight from ATL to DC was cancelled because of FOG. The next possible flight she could get on was a 2:45 flight. Bless her heart she sat in that ATL airport all day really. With 15 min till time to board she was still #3 on the standby list. I just started praying and got on the cell phone began texting everyone I could think of for prayers. Can I just say how much I love Facebook ha ha It was the easiest way to keep people in the know and ask for prayer! Laura and I have a lot of the same friends on our list so ppl who were praying for her would know what we specifically needed that min for Laura. So with just a few minutes before the plane was scheduled to be boarding. Laura got called and was on the plane to DC. She got to DC and met up with the other adoptive families that were also heading to Ethiopia to pick their children as well. So our family felt soooo much better and relieved you know there is strength in numbers :) We got a text late yesterday telling us Laura had landed and that she was safe in the guest house in Ethiopia. Now can I just tell you Laura has told me that this guest how is within walking distance from the orphanage where Mercy was sleeping. I have no idea how Laura slept that night I would be standing at the window staring at that building and if I know my sister not even her Ambien allowed her to sleep that night. HEE HEE Early this morning around 5:30 we got email's and comments on our facebook page telling us about her finally be united with her daughter. I am going to leave the details for my sister but I will tell you guys she has her and she is OURS (well my sisters) My sister is a Mommy again and I have a beautiful tiny little niece.

Can I just say it again how amazing our God is? I can not even put into words how I feel. I feel so honored that God chose my sister and her husband, my parents, me and my little sister to pour Jesus into this little life. That we were chosen to be this child's family to love her for the rest of her life! I can not wait to get in line on Saturday and hold her, kiss her and just tell her how much we love her and how wanted and needed she is. Ughhh I am just in awe of the Father. I think that's what I am trying to say here! How this little family with the big mouth's in Alabama was chosen by the Father to take care of a tiny little baby in Africa. GOD YOU ARE SO GOOD. I am just standing in awe of his grace and mercy. I hope everyone had a great week and don't be upset with me when I say I hope this week flies by. I can't wait till Saturday. If anyone would like to be with us at the airport on Saturday please let me know. So that I can keep you up to date and give you the details of what we are doing! :) Have a safe week and many blessing! Lord know's this Monday morning I got one huge blessing. I am an AUNT again! :)

Where have I been you might ask?

I have been being a Mommy! My two girls have seem to come down with some tummy bug last week! I have been washing sheets, changing garbage cans, clorox everything in sight and living off Lysol! My oldest started throwing up Thursday night then was fine till Sunday afternoon when she started violently throwing up in the car. She threw up all the rest of the day and well into the night then Monday morning. Then right after "B" ate her bfast she ran to the bathroom and she got sick. So off to bed they went! "B" did not throw up again so we sent her on to school today well around 11:00 I get a phone call that she is to sick to stay at school. She has been in the restroom more than she had been in the classroom. She comes home crying her eye's out that she is sick. I finally get someone from the doctor's office to call me back and I must say she seemed genuinely worried about my girls! She called in some Zofran and because "M" was complaining about severe pain in her tummy they also said we needed to get some Acetaminophen suppositories. (BLESS THEM LORD) I got "M" up and into the shower bless her heart she just sat in the bottom of the shower not wanting to get out. While I ran back and forth between her room and the bathroom trying to Lysol everything and strip her bed linens and then replace them with the clean GERM FREE one. "M" teacher calls to tell me that she is sending home the lesson plan for the day's she has missed, but I tell you like I told her This child won't even watch High School Musical 3 she is exhausted and in some major pain. I mean if you saw this baby throw up like I did then you would see why her tummy hurts so bad! So no food for 24 hours only clear liquids so far tonight we have managed to keep down some ginger ale and jello. I am just praying for protection over hubby,"S" and myself. We need to get well there are many exciting things happening in my family and I don't wanna miss it.

My older sister is leaving this Saturday for Ethiopia to pick up my precious neice Mercy! Please remember her in your prayers for a safe trip and that she won't get sick while there. She has crone's disease and if she eat's one wrong thing she is down for the count. So please pray with me that the Lord will protect her and bless anything that she would put to her lips! (even our sweet Mercy's kisses) So anyone reading this blog because the sister sent you here. I PROMISE to keep you updated on all the information about her flight! Baby sister is in charge of the BLOG I am in charge of the airport and signs and all that good stuff! Help me be creative I wanna make this a day Our family will never forget! Should we have shirts made? Should we rock our mission threads shirts? I know we want signs! I am so excited! Oh baby sister sold her house and that was just a huge answer to prayer! They signed the contract on the house they are building 2 weeks ago. So God really worked this one out for her and Matthew! Well That's about all I can think of. Oh ha ha I keep remembering things. Daddy is recovering well and driving back and forth to his therapy sessions without me. I have to say I am a little sad I really enjoyed taking care of my dad and getting to spend that time with him. I am so thankful that he did not catch this tummy virus NOT COOL! Anyway he needs some prayer because he is not sleeping but other than that the Knee is well on it's way to a perfect recovery! Well that's about it. I promise one day when my life slows down some I am going to start blogging again! Right now I am lucky if I get to hit facebook up with a status update or twitter! I hope everyone is having a great week and not to many TVs in the repair shop after watching "The Bachelor aka LOOSER" oh well talk to you guys soon! Blessings!
