My exhausting day & My friendship with Alli :o)

I wrote this last night but edited it this morning!

I got up this morning early cause I knew Alli was coming to bring Cohen to stay with me today. Her Mother who normally would watch him has come down with a kidney stone and I told her I could watch him. Cohen is very special to me His Mother and I have been through so much together I can not imagine my life without her. I remember when she lost her first child it was such a horrible time for her and I remember crying and praying with her. All the months of trying to get pregnant and month after month getting a negative after negative. I remember the night that she let it all go when Holly Choppa spoke at M & M's at church. It was like such a weight lifted off her shoulders. Alli refers to it as her Monumental Moment then not long after that Labor Day weekend to be exact we got the positive we had been waiting so long for (we like I was having a baby)We prayed and prayed and prayed those first few months. Then the month came we found out Alli was having a boy we were all so excited I got on the phone and called all of my family ha ha I really don't think I have ever been so excited for someone else to have a baby. Then the day finally came two days late might I add that Mr. Cohen Robert made his entrance into this great big world. I was so excited. Well I guess I tell you all of this to say I am super excited and was honored that she would ask me to keep him.

Today was Alli's first day back at work since Cohen was born and I knew it was going to be a little rough on her so we tried to focus on all the good stuff not the feelings every mom feels when they have to go back to work. She cried and you could tell it was the hardest thing she had to do. I took loads of pictures today while he was here so Mommy could see him at all times. I have to say life with a newborn and 1year old is not easy so Jordan if you still read this blog SISTER YOU ROCK and I give you a standing ovation. I don't know how you do it day in and day out. I had only Cohen and Silas today so it was not really to bad but if you added Kenzie and Bella off in that mix boy I would have been lost. I think Cohen and Silas schedule is just about the same maybe 30 off but Silas will get use to Cohen's and fall into line... Its so sweet Silas would wake up from naps and say CoKen where baby momma and then runnnnnn into my room to see if he was on my bed and then to the living room runn all over the house it was way cute. Alli did great she called like 2 times all day. When she walked in the door a little earlier I was caught of guard my two older ones had just walked in and we were talking to my mother in law so I had not packed his stuff up... Note to self she will come early pack stuff around 4:00 Well we at an early dinner and I have been trying to clean some tonight cause I know tomorrow I won't get much done with a newborn and Silas running around..

They do the survey of the yard tomorrow and I can't wait to see what the nut job next door has to say about it. Well I better go I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Blessings

You don't have anything nice to say!

Yes I just started my blog off with an old saying from my mom "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" We have not had anything new with the house. The closing date has been set for April 30th and we still have not found a house yet. The ones I like Bo does not think there is enough land with them and the ones he likes I think there is not enough house for as many children as we have. I have no idea why it was so easy for us to buy the last two houses when we walked into our first house on Belle Drive it was like I heard Angels singing and saw a great light over the house. The house we just sold I thought my husband was crazy that this house was never going to be livable. I admit it I was wrong this house turned out to be beautiful and I love this house yes I just admitted I love this house. I will be glad to see it go but there is so much security in this house in this house I have room for all my kids and room for them to play. However I know all things in life must come to an end and this is the final road for this house.

The kids had spring break last week we did not do much of anything for there break they just played around here or at my inlaws hunting eggs and watching Hannah Montana and Suite life of Zach and Cody. I felt bad that we did not do anything but it just did not work out. We will make up for it this summer we already have a beach trip planned for the third weekend in June with some good friends of ours. I always hate going on trips like that by ourselves. Me and my sisters hardly ever went anywhere when we were kids without the Reynolds and I want my kids to grow up with a family like we did. You always had someone to do something with and our Mom's hung out our Dads Still hang out and well us girls still make time to see each other as often as our busy lives will let us. Back to subject we are really excited about going with our friends. We are going to Gulf Shores and have actually already booked the condo. TOTALLY EXCITED!

This past weekend was really busy Friday night Linds and David came out to eat and hang out they brought there three kids we had a GREAT time chatting, eating and playing a little Wii. Then Saturday we got up got all dressed up went to look at a house and my parents met us there. We were sure we were going to make and offer on that one but we just could not do it. GOD HAS REASONS!!! Then we went to some friends of ours wedding. Megan and David were married downtown at the roundhouse depot My baby sister was the wedding planner and did a great job. Everything looked as if it went smooth and she had the J-Lo walk going. My older sister did the brides and some of her girls make up. She did a fabulous job. I am so proud of them they both having amazing talents and if nobody ever discovers there talent at least I know right ;o) We had a blast that night the reception was great. The cake melted in your mouth yum yum. But I have to say the best part was the dancing. I saw a whole new side of my brother in law Sean that boy can move. It was great.

Sunday we woke up got dressed and ready for church at the VBC. Praise and worship was GLORIOUS! It to me just proved a point. It does not matter where God's people gather wherever it may be. We the people are the church not just the building. I love it when the campuses come together. I get to see my family from West and my Friends from Scottsboro. The sad thing is I only got to see like 3 ppl from Scottsboro but I did see a ton of my central campus coordinator friends and my family from west campus. After we left the vbc we went to grant to hang with the family. We ate lunch and hid eggs.(more like the men threw them all over the yard) Laura and I went through her cloth diapers she wants to sell and the ones she wants to keep. I got a lesson in cloth diapering and it really is not all that bad. I think if my kid were younger I might have even gotten on that band wagon cause they are way cuter and if What Laura's research is true it takes 50 years for one single diaper to decompose (is that even the word you use for this) Anyway we had a great Day hanging with the fam. I LOVE those days.

Today I went with my friend Alli to check out a local daycare and have lunch. Its been eight weeks since her and I had any alli-looler time so it was sooooo good to sit and talk even if I had to take benadryl to eat and chit chat. I came home and prayed Bo would get here quickly so I could lay down and I think I slept like 30 min. ;o( now I am wide awake! Well I am going to bed this is a long blog and its random I hope all had a great Easter. Blessings

ughhhh

I have to say I have such horrible luck with Cell phones. My LG ENV has been no different I have had it a year now and replaced it once and had it in the shop once. Its just been a horrible phone for me YET again. So I took it into verizon two weeks ago cause it was not taking charge unless you hold the cord one way and turn the phone on its side you know the drill yada yada yada. And the ear speaker kept going on people on the line with me could heap me but I could not hear them. So I take it in and the guy tells me there is nothing wrong with the phone that I was making it up... My friend Alli can atest to the fact it does it all the time when I am talking to her. He told me he could send it off but there is nothing wrong I say so you aresaying I am just making this up huh? He just looked at me. So I said give me my blame phone. I go to another store and buy a in car charger and it seemed to work but the battery still did not hold charge that long. Well yesterday while at the grocery I noticed it was not taking charge the phone. So I try to pull the charger out of the plug and it would not come out so I pulled and pulledthe blame thing fell apart. So last night I get it home and put on the in house charger and it would not take charge and finally this morning it died. My hubby is bringing home the store's phone so those of you that have my number if you need to talk to me you can call my cell and leave me a Voice Mail or send me and email lboatner@scottsboro.org or leave a comment here. UGHHHHHH CELL PHONES THEY MAKE THEM JUNKY NOW DAYS!!!

Home Inspection, neighbor, and super-market

Well today we got the report back from our inspection and other than a couple minor things (outlet covers, clean the gutters, fix cover some wire with some foam stuff on the hot water heater) we will be good to go. That is if the land survey turns out just fine as well. While the house inspector, the "buyer" and there agent were here my next door neighbor comes over and tells them that we built our pool on there property which is pretty funny since we built the pool right behind our house. This is the same person that her and her husband came over here when we were buying this house came over here and told us that when we step off our back porch that we step onto there property. So we had a survey done and of course they were wrong as usual. So now the "buyer" is worried and having a servery done. I just wish that our neighbors would mind there own business and leave it to the professionals. We might have closed earlier had she not kept her mouth shut.

Today we had to go grocery shopping so I dropped Silas off at Deals on Wheels and took the older two with me. Well we did our shopping and there was this guy that was stalking the shelves and it seemed that we were always in his way so he saw us coming up and down three isles. So from his comment's I guess he listened to us interact He stopped me and said I just had to tell you that its so nice to see a parent makes your child mind and that your kids are not running up and down the isles screaming and telling there parent what they are and are not going to buy them. I of course told him thank you. It made me feel good. I mean for a complete stranger to come up to me and tell me I was doing a good job parenting my children I think I floated on cloud 9 the rest of the shopping trip.

Tonight the Land's came over here for supper and Bo grilled his famous chicken, I made baked Veggies, Mac & Cheese, green beans and baked us a cake. We had a great time, my kids were so excited to see them when they pulled up. Silas called Tammy Mammy and Corey CoCo, Dennis DeDe... Its so cute... Anyway Dennis, Tammy, Corey, Cortney, Jodie (Cortney boyfriend) Timothy (exchange student)and Zack ( Dennis Nephew) all came we had good supper talk. Corey and Cort got into the tanning bed while Bo and Jodie boxed played tennis and golf on the wii... We all got good laughs out of that. It was just fun to get to sit around talk and eat some good food. Well Here it is 11:25 pm and I am awake watching dirty dancing wishing I had an ambien. :o( I will get it filled in the morning trust me I don't want to be staying up this late anymore. Its rough on this sister in the morning's. Well I best call this a night. Pray for us that the survey goes our way and pray for our closing April 30th. LOVE YOU 2 that read.

The latest in our lives

So the last blog we were in our old apartment behind my mother and father in law's house. Not anymore well not for another month or so. We signed a contract on our house last Sunday. Yep that's right after only a few weeks on the market someone loved it and took it. :o) We have a home inspection on Monday then we set closing date after whatever if he finds anything wrong with it. We are super excited that we finally sold this house. It has been a good house and a great investment property but it is time for it to go. I will be a little sad (not much) because we did bring our last baby home to this house and this is where his first almost 2 years of his life were spent. Other than that SEE YA SUCKER!!! ha ha

We are super excited but at the same time I am SCARED TO DEATH. Those that know me know I can't stand change at all not even my furniture moved a few inches without my heart racing. So for me to pack up all my belongings and move them into storage and move my children from this 4,000 sq ft home into a 900 sq ft apt for a few months is freaking me out. We have decided that we are going to live in our old apartment for a few months and save up some money. If we come across something we can not live without we will buy it but we want to be patient and wait on the Lord to bring us the perfect house in the perfect school district for our children. We have been looking at houses and have found a couple that we like after a 4 hour search today. Maybe even one that we will call home someday soon. I don't know be praying for us.

Well I need to get in the bed. We are working Little Praiser's tomorrow morning 2nd service so I am going to need all the energy I can get and I am just not sleepy... ughhhh I hate this issue I have developed in my old age but I have to admit I have great talks with the father late at night when my whole house is sleeping hee hee :o) Well I better go. I know its been a while since I blogged last and I will try to be more on top of things. Keep praying for us we are super nervous and excited all at the same time our father is faithful and is going to continue to guide our paths.

BLESSINGS <<>><

Tounge

I get a mass email devotion once a week from Pastor Gretchen and this one she sent this week really hit home with me... She was talking about holding your tongue...

Taming the Tongue

James has a whole chapter devoted to this subject because he stresses the importance of it. I agree with James. It is so important to have a grip or hold on our tongues. "He that does not keep a tight reign on his tongue, his religion is worthless." No matter how many widows and orphans we visit and we keep ourselves separated from the world, if we do not keep a tight reign on our tongues we do no good. it is the same feel as when Paul told the Corinthians that they could speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but if they did not have love, they were just making a bunch of noise.

If your husband is in the ministry or called to be in any capacity I want to encourage you to especially watch what you say and watch how you say things. Timothy gives the qualifications of a leader and mentions the wife in his instructions in regard to her speech. We can disqualify our husbands by the way we conduct our tongues. Our husbands could be the most Godly man but if we are talking too much, talking about people, or being negative and complaining then we could disqualify him.

The book of Proverbs gives a tremendous amount of scriptures about your lips, your mouth, your tongue, a gossip, a talebearer, etc. One of my favorites that my oldest son has been quoting now for about 7 years is this, "Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Or how about, "Where there are many words, sin is not absent." I think we as ladies should be more aware of what or how much we say. We for sure want to be good confidantes. That is a friend that will listen and not repeat what they hear. Another thing to look for is how we say things. The sharpness or "matter of factness" of our tone can throw people off sometimes. Our speech should be gracious, tactful, and never intrusive. We want to be "inviting" to other women to be able to pour into their lives. The way we dress, talk, and act is all very important to how we are perceived. Sometimes one time is all that people will get a chance to meet you and it should be positive if at all possible, not hearing you rattle on about so and so and griping about this or bragging about that.

This is a huge issue ladies. It will affect our husbands, our children, and our friends, as well as strangers. The example for our children is so important too. They will become what you are. Your children are a direct fruit of you. "You can teach what you know, but you can only reproduce who you are." Ronald Reagan. So........................this is a sobering thought. I want to grasp what James said, "if you can tame the tongue then the whole body will be in check." This is a key to maturity. Other areas in our lives will come in line when we get the tongue under control. How many fires have we started? How many lives have we spoken life into? How many times have we dishonored our husbands with our words (and thoughts)? How many times have we crushed our children's spirits? How many times has our words been rivers of living water gushing forth out of our inmost being? These are all l good questions to ask ourselves. Let's do a little self examining today. Love you all and we all are working toward that maturity in Christ Jesus.
--Gretchen DeVries

This woman has a way of getting to me each and every time... I know that she is not talking directly to me cause I know everyone gets this email but I always get something whenever she opens her mouth or sets her fingers to type... So thank you Pastor Gretchen if you ever read this or not... Thank you for letting the father speak directly to me through you... I hope all that read this get something from it... Its a valuable lesson that EVERYONE needs to read... ;o) Let me encourage everyone to think before you speak its something I am battleing and know God is workin on me... ;o) Blessings <<>><

No signal

So for the past two days we have been staying in our old apt behind my in laws house... I love this apartment to me its the closest thing to being home... You see my parents left my childhood home 3 years ago and no matter how much of our old house is in there new house in Grant its not "HOME" to me... So back to this apartment... It is just home to me... This is the first place Bo and I lived and this is the place we brought MacKenzie home to. I will have to take pictures and get someone to teach me how to post them here... It's a really cute little apartment... It is built across the top of a three bay garage when Bo and I got together... It was a total batchler pad... Not so much anymore... We closed in one of the bay's and put in some stairs. its now a two bedroom two full bath, living room, washroom and full sized eat in kitchen... Its just a great little place... I LOVE IT HERE... My mom in law comes and gets Silas for me in the mornings and lets me sleep in sometimes... THAT IS GREAT... The only bad thing is I have to bounce off of her wireless signal and its few and far between that I can catch signal I have to sit in a certain spot and hold my arm up with finger pointed to the right...ha ha not really but I do have to sit upstairs close to the outside wall... So that's no fun...

Onto the house they showed it back to back yesterday two different agents. We have not heard anything from the walk through... I am waiting on some negative feedback I need to know what to fix so that I can get it ready for the next couple or person to walk through it... We are having the carpet's cleaned today so we are going to stay here untill Friday... They are going to be showing the house again tomorrow... Bo and I have never been more sure in all of our lives that we are walking out God's plan for our lives... We have made some really huge desicions here lately and we know that all these choices and desicions have been prayed about and meditated on and not just Bo but Bo and I both were at peace... We have looked at a few houses out in Gurley and New Market area... We have found some we just love and found one If my house sold yesterday I would have put a contract on it... It sold and my feelings really got hurt... I loved that house so much and it was in our price range... So I made the choice not to go look at anymore houses and not to look at any more ad's untill mine sells... There is no since in torturing myself... :o)

Well I don't have much to write because there has not been much going on... Just please remember the Boatner Family as you pray. Our Prayer is Father we just ask that your kingdom come and your will be done in our lives, Lord we ask that you open doors that need to be opened and close doors that need to be closed. We just want you in any and all things in our lives... AMEN AMEN AMEN... Off to do nothing but sit around... :o) There is nothing to do here... ;o) Blessings

Chucky Cheese,Grant, and Wii

Friday afternoon we checked the girls out of school early so they could go with us to one of our Pool Suppliers Open house... I was thinking we were going to SCP which has a huge warehouse but found out as we were riding down the interstate I realized we were going to the smaller place and there was going to be lots of people there and I could not take my three kids in there... So this place is right next to CHUCKY CHEESE... ANYONE who knows me knows there is no other place in this world that makes me get nausea's like parent purgatory aka Chucky Cheese... So I say a quick little prayer and ask the Lord for strength and off I pull into the parking lot... The kids did really great and we had a good time all except for the Mini Van Mafia talking about how Silas was not a baby and should not have been in the little girls room getting his diaper changed... I kept my cool and just acted like the snooty toot was not getting to me... After we had spent all 105 of our tokens and gotten our rewards for spending our money and playing there games. We loaded up and headed to pick up Daddy... We decided to get something to eat and while we were there we get the phone call from the realtor saying that the showing went great that the couple really loved the house had no negative feedback on the house. They had nothing but nice things to say. So we are still praying for a offer very soon... PRAY WITH US!!!

Saturday I got up to my sweet hubby getting all my children ready to head to the store to see my mother and father in law who had just gotten back from a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean... So while he took them I slept a bit and then got up packed the kids some clothes, and got our stuff ready for a couple of days in Grant with my parents... We had a good ol time just hanging out the weather was perfect for the kids they played out in the yard. They had a wonderful time... Bo and I got dressed for "Date Night" we had sho gun it was sooooooooo good... Then we went out to Linds and Davids house... OH MY SWEET LORD we had the best time... We played there Wii game system... We played tennis we boxes we bowled it was so much fun... We did not leave there house till almost 11:30 we were exhausted after we left... Needless today I woke up this morning sore as all get out and reeling from exposer ( its alright Kortney) to cat hair and it tore me up and I could hardly breath out my nose this morning and my eyes were swollen... So yet again we skipped church cause someone in my family was sick... My Dad and Bo went to town to get some grocery's to make supper and while he was there Bo called everyone and there brother to find us a Wii he is dead set we are getting one now... We had such a wonderful time last night. He did not find one but he did say he would get one this week.. HA HA Well we are home from Grant after a quick trip to my sister's house to drop off something for my nieces school project after dinner baths and prayers... Everyone in my house is asleep all except for Mom of course cause my meds have not kicked in yet... ;o) Well this was one of the best weekends we have had in a long time... Bo and I are just exhausted but sad to see this weekend go... We always have next weekend... ;o)

I was tagged

OK so a friend of mine tagged me in her blog to write out my morning routine... So Jordan here it goes sister... I get up around 6:45 and do the girls hair before they head off with there Daddy to the end of the road to catch the school bus by 7:15. Most morning Silas is still asleep so I get a cup of coffee, turn the laptop on Put my music player on and have morning prayer and worship till Silas wakes up which is around 7:45-8:00... Then Its time to get busy... I make Silas some breakfast and turn on his wiggles. While he is eating I clean the kitchen and load and put away the dishes from the dishwasher. Then around 9:00 Silas gets a bath and plays in the tub for 30 min. While he is in the tub I am cleaning the toilet and sink and picking up in the bathroom . :o) Silas plays till about 10:30 then its time to go back down for his nap... Then the laundry gets folded and the girls room gets cleaned... Bo gets home for lunch around 11:30-12:00 so either I make him something or he brings home lunch and we have our only time in the day besides bedtime where we are alone and can talk . Jordan its boring as all get out but its my morning routine...
