The house deal STRESS!

Bo and I have been under a lot of stress here lately. We have had all sort's of issues with the sell of our home. Ya see my sweet hubby and his daddy made a HUGE boo boo. When we bought Fletcher Drive there were millions of tree's and the yard is such a huge slope so we had a company come in and cut down over 90 something tree's and a dozer company come in and level the ground on the back. We had to have a place for the kids to play and put in a swimming pool of course ;o). Well all we can come up with is that our dozer company cut back to much of the slope and went far past our own property line. Bo and Pop should have checked the lines but they just assumed (NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING) that the guy we hired stayed in the lines we showed him. NOT SO MUCH! We never knew any of this until it came time to sell our house. We always thought that our property lines ended at the hill behind our pool. Well while the buyer was there looking at the land.My crazy cat lady neighbor (who is INSANE MIND YOU) comes up and tells Von the buyer that we built our swimming pool on her property. Ummm hello idiot we built the pool behind the house center of the house actually. So the buyer decided to just have a survey and find out whats what and shut the crazy lady up. So fast forward a week we have the survey and as I watch what happened I thought I was having a heart attack. I was on the phone with my sister and I told her OH MY GOODNESS LAURA I HAVE TO GO I THINK I AM HAVING A HEART ATTACK THIS IS NOT HAPPENING! I must have worried her cause she gave me maybe 10 min and was calling me back saying what happened. I watched the survey people put a stake in the ground that was almost in the middle of our swimming pool. Not that we were on the crazy lady next doors land but on the people who own the property behind us. The crazy lady comes outside and asks if that was our property line and kinda smiles. I walked right out there and told her that this was her first and last warning that was the property line and if I caught her anywhere near the line I would call the police and have her arrested for trespassing. She thought it was funny and kept standing there long enough for the survey guy to tell her. "Ma'am they may be on someone else's property but you are as well and you are more over than they are" She went white and turned around and marched right into her house. I have to say I was very happy to know that she was going to get a little of what she dished out. So fast forward a few weeks we find out who owns the property and call him to let him know that we accidentally built a pool on his property and that we were so sorry and wanted to know if he would right us an easement or if we could buy the property. We were thinking maybe 4,000 or 7,000 ha ha NOT SO MUCH 20,000.00 is what we had to pay for 13 feet of property. I can not believe people I mean hello he knew he had us right where he wanted us. He even told our realtor that had we asked to buy it before we built the pool he would not have charged no where near but since he had us as he said "bent over a barrel" he was going to get what he could. All I have to say is you reap what you sew. We finally got all the deeds drawn up and another survey and closed on that land last Thursday. I have to say it was one of the worst things I had to do was sign all those paper's knowing that he did not need that money that he was just a mean person who took advantage of us. We paid the 22,000.00 after closing cost. So then the guy who is buying our house tells us he has not gotten his check in from his 401-K. His realtor (WHO MIGHT I ADD IS THE BIGGEST IDIOT I HAVE EVER SEEN)did not want him to loose interest on his money so told him not to cash it in until a week before closing. Well we were suppose to close two weeks ago on the house. We have been waiting on them. She saved him a whole 84.16. When I found that out I went nuts. I mean come on I have 84.16 in my wallet right now and I would have gladly handed him that money so that we could have closed two weeks ago. I mean hello these people are living in my 4000 sq ft home and I am paying the mortgage payment (minus his 500.00 he gave. HELLO the payment is 1100.00)and the insurance on the house while I live in a 900 sq ft town house with my three children. These people are holding my life up. They are living in there new house with all there new furniture and I can't even make an offer on a house because we don't know what these idiots are going to do next. They are absolutely holding us up. So the guy buying our house calls on Friday to tell us that he got his check that it had been at his old address for a few days the new owner had not gotten around to calling him to tell him. I was soooooooooo hacked off. Our realtor called to tell us on Tuesday that we are closing on Thursday @ 3:00 if we don't close then I think my husband is going to have a heart attack. He is so stressed out that he has actually screamed at people told people off and just really has a short fuse. I mean HELLO Bo Boatner is the most passive, never speaks his mind, holds it all in, roll all over me type of person. There is proof that he is way past his stress meter. Please be praying for us that this deal will finally end and we can start a new chapter in our lives. We are just ready to either find a house or built one and we can not until this deal closes with our house. Now I am done with my rant on the house I will post another blog later today about our wonderful Unplugged weekend.
Blessings

Doctor's visit and Fishing!

HA HA that Title cracks me up! I woke up yesterday just sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I called my doctor's office and they told me to come on in. So when I got there I was none to excited to see that my two favorite receptionist that worked there for so long are no longer there. The doctor I go to here in town never keeps staff long. So I get there and he tells me its a Sinus infection and that he wants to give me two shots. I also talked to him about being tired all the time so he gave me a B12 shot as well. So 3 shots OUCH OUCH OUCH. The lady who gave me the shots is not the best shot giver in the world. She always leaves me in pain for days after I get one of her little lovelies.

Bo called and told me to come by the store and he would give me some money to go buy the girls fishing polls. So after they got out of school I took them to K-Mart to buy fishing polls. Bella picked out a Dora the Explorer poll and Kenzie the Shrek one! We got home and headed to our boat house. (where Bo Proposed) We fished from 5:30 till 8:00 we had a good old time with the girls.

We caught lots of fish but maybe two big ones. They were all very small. Well i gotta get to packing we are heading out to the campground tonight. We are all excited. Well I hope everyone is having a great week so far! Blessings

Busy Busy Weekend!

This weekend was a busy one around here. Friday I got up early and washed clothes, cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen. Silas had spent the night with Anita the night before so I knew that it was going to be my only chance to get things done while he was gone! Sad to say but come on I found that child in the dishwasher last week for the love of all things holy! He is a total mess and I can't seem to get anything looking anything remotely like Bo and I like it to be. UGHHHH apartment living is not for the OCD! ha ha

So I get all of it done and by this time the kids are all home from school and we are getting dressed to leave. Bo and I as I have said before in this blog grew up camping. I can not remember a weekend in the summer that we were not at Guntersville State Park. He grew up coming to Scottsboro of all places to Goosepond. We have both agreed over and over and over we want our children to grow up doing this as we did. So we decided to join a campground Mountain Lakes Resort. Bo wanted it to be a surprise to the girls so we did not tell them where we were going, we just kept saying you will see when we get there. When we pulled up to the campground the kids got so excited. They said are we going camping this weekend! We took a little tour ourselves while Daddy signed all the papers and paid. They have two pools one is indoor and the other outdoor, mini golf, playground, kids game room, craft area for little kids. The best part for Bo and I is the fact they have great big joker tournaments. Bo and I LOVE to play this game and have taught all of our friends how to play. So we signed all the papers and paid all the fee's and headed to Guntersville to eat dinner and then we went to Grant to see my parents and drop off my Yukon so that she would have something to drive to Scottsboro tomorrow to pick up her Car. Bo had to do some work to it. While there she asked if the girls could just stay the night. ;o)

Saturday morning I got up and did not do much of anything but wait on Bo to get home so we could go to the grocery store and to the old house to pick up the big things we left at the house. My parents come there to help us out as well. So we got pretty much all of our stuff out of that house and I will be so glad when we finally close this week. Then Bo my dad and I went to the grocery store to get some grocery's and stuff to grill out. It was after all my father in laws 60th birthday so we grilled out and had a little cake and fun. I am so blessed that my parents and my in-laws get along so well. I mean they really do get along. Both my parents and my in-laws love to garden. They never run out of things to talk about. They really do mesh together well.. BLESSED we are.

Sunday we got up went to church and service was amazing. I got to sit with my girl Jessica and I was very glad to see her. Its been a while since I got to see her we keep in touch via emails and myspace but it was nice to get to hug her neck and worship right along side of her. After church Shanna and Sella asked us if we wanted to go eat so we were like sure. There was 16 of us at one table. Ha ha It was great even if we did not get to sit with Tim and Sella our kids got to sit together and they love them some Lydia. So our girls were really excited to get to see her again.
We had to get some things at Sam's so we went ahead and stopped in. The kids love it cause they get to sample everything they have. ha ha We got all the things we needed then we were headed back to Scottsboro. We got home and just laid around the house. Bo watched the race and I watch well I watched the Benadryl kick my tail. My allergies reared there ugly head again. So I went to sleep early. That was my weekend. VERY VERY Busy. I hope everyone has a great week. Blessings

Our Trip to the Zoo!

Well its that time of the year again its the end of the school year so it means for the kindergarten class at Caldwell its ZOO TIMEEEEEE! We got up pretty early because we had to have Bella at the school by 7:30. Well of course that did not happen ha ha I am a Winkles after all we are never early for anything. We always say that we will be late for our own funeral. We got Bella at the school around 7:45 and her bus was leaving the school at 8:00. I kissed her and Kenzie Bye. Kenzie came and chased me down in Bella's class to get me to sign a book. I think now looking back she was kinda just needing me to give her a reassuring hug. So I sent her on after telling her have a good day. Then I left Bella's class and told her I would see her at the zoo. They don't let parents ride the bus so Me and My Mother in law ride in my car. Well I found Kenzie wondering the hall as I was leaving and I called her over to me to give me another hug and we prayed for her to have a good day. She then ran off to her class. I think maybe that's what she needed more than the hug, but that's me hoping she just needed some Jesus! ;o)

My Mother in law and I went by the store to see if we had some sun screen cause I forgot to put some on Bella. We did not of course have any in the motor home! Then we headed out. We drove and drove and drove! We stopped at a rest area on the other side of Steele to go to the rest room we were there maybe 5 minutes then got to Trussville and stopped to get gas maybe another 10 min. We get to the zoo and the buses are already there and the kids have been eating. Poor Bella was sitting at a picnic table while everyone else was eating. She looked so sad my Mother in law said but got excited when she saw us. HOW DID THOSE BUSES beat us to the zoo? sheesh

Well we ate our chicken salad sandwiches and drank our soda then it was time to head into the zoo. We got our tokens and headed to the carousel because the last time Anita and I took Kenzie on her Kindergarten trip to the zoo we waited till it was time to go and so did everyone else so Kenzie never got to ride and she was so disappointed! So Anita and Bella rode while I took pictures and sat with Silas. We asked Bella what is the one thing that you have to see today. She said Giraffes. So we headed down to the Alabama life exhibit then headed to the safari exhibit we get to the Giraffes and Bella says OH MY GOODNESS WHAT IS THAT SMELL. GET ME OUT OF HERE IT STINKS. HA HA HA I said Bella but this is what you wanted to see and she said well if I stand a stare at every animal we will be here all day. Gotta Go!

Anita and I just laughed and laughed at her. We looked at everything the zoo had. I have to say though Bella's favorite part was the worst thing I have ever seen. What is with the kids that the one thing that you really wish they would not remember they do. Like animals "making out" or animals eating poop and throwing it back up and eating it again? So back to Bella's favorite part The only part she remembered was Joey the Gorilla Eating his poopy then throwing it up and then that's right eating it again. This went on over and over and over again and Bella was willing to sit there and watch it over and over and over again.

I could not stand the smell in that place so I headed out of there with Silas and we looked at the Lions. Silas would say to the Lions " Here kitty kitty kitty"

It was so cute. After we finished that up it was time to head to the gift shop. Bella got a purse with a tiger in it, Silas a white Tiger "kitty Kitty" and Kenzie a bracelet. She is a good sister! ;o) We waited around trying to find Mrs. Gray so that we could sign Bella out. We never found her so My friend Avery who is also a Kindergarten teacher said here sign her out with her and she would tell Mrs. Gray. So we did that and right as we were walking out we saw Mrs. Gray and told her we had signed her out. We drove and drove and drove. We got back to the house around 4:45.

I think Bella had a great day spending time with just Me and "Granny" Silas was there but he really is not a factor for Bella. I think in her mind Kenzie takes the spot light off of her. I am learning to spend single time with each child more so my girls. I spend a lot of alone time with Silas but I don't ever get to just hang with the girls. So I am going to make an effort to do this more often. I promised my girls this summer we were going to take a lot of day trips. That Mommy is going to find the energy even if I have to start taking something a little more for energy. I already take a B complex and seriously thinking about taking B 12 shots. I have gotta do something I just really wanna lay around more than I wanna do anything. So I gotta get some energy we gotta big summer ahead of us.

Like I said Bella really I think enjoyed having Granny come along. Anita Bo's Mom has gone to a lot of things this year for me. Well the first day of school I was in the hospital so Anita went in my place. It was so sad to me and I tear up every single time I think my baby started school and I could not be there to watch her walk into her class room and tell me "Are you going to leave Mom" Thank God for Mom in law. Then Bella had a Thanksgiving lunch and I was recovering from my "female Surgery" so I could not make it. My Mom in law was right there willing to go. Anita went with me to Kenzie's kindergarten field trip to the zoo and I bet you money she will be with me at Silas's kindergarten trip to the zoo. Its a great little tradition that I hope my kids will let me go on there kids field trips and hang out with them at school! We had a great school year and I am kinda sad that its all over with. My Kenzie is going into the 3rd grade and my Bella is going into the 1st. WOW didn't I just give birth to them both? ha ha Well its bed time and I am done with another LONG LONG Blog. I hope everyone has a great weekend. We plan on sitting around and doing NOTHING! Blessings

My Mommy's Day!

Let me just start off by saying that I am so blessed to be the Mother of these three little kids. They may drive me crazy at times and they may step out of line some (more like a lot here lately)but they are good kids who just need a little more consistency from Mom and Dad! ;o) I love these three little blessings!

So I wake up and my kids scream from down stairs MOM DO NOT GET UP! It has become a Mother's Day tradition for my girls to help cook my breakfast and serve it to me in bed. Well this year was no different then years past, Bella came in with my coffee and Kenzie followed right behind with my tray of food. My precious husband had made me my most favorite thing in the world. Strawberry, cream cheese, powder sugar Crepes. OH MY WORD my mother in law makes these little blessings for us on special occasions and my Hubby had her teach him so that he could make them for me. How sweet is my hubby for doing that? I am so blessed! Well this year on my tray was a little glass with two beautiful roses off my Mother in law's rose bush. ha ha And a little jewelry gift box. I ate first you gotta eat those crepes cause they are not good cold. You see what it takes to get me, straight to my Belly. HA HA After eating the crepes I opened the gift box. It is a beautiful white gold chain with a white gold circle pendant in the center. I had told my hubby that I loved the pendant. He is such a good man he listened this time to what I said. We had gone shopping the night before and it seems that we have developed a not so normal Mother's Day tradition I get two bathing suits. So we went to the Mall and tried on a million. It was a lot of fun, I know bathing suit shopping normally is not fun. The sales lady was young and had a great sense of humor between her and Bo it was just fun being silly and trying different things on. ha ha So I bought one at Dillard's and then we went to Target and I found one there I loved a little more than the one I got at Dillard's but I love them both.

Bo and the girls took his Mom some crepes and her gift over to her and had some time with her while I finished up my coffee and breakfast in bed. So by this time it was far to late to get ready for church. So we decided to just go ahead and start getting shower's and ready for our Mother's Day lunch with my family in Grant. Laura made Lasagna, I brought the Caesar Salad mix and Tea, Randi brought the bread and oil dipping stuff and HER WONDERFUL CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES! I love these things and if I knew how to make them I would be as big as a freakin house. OH MY WORD they are to die for. Well we ate lunch got the littlest ones down for a nap and pulled out Laura's wedding video. We laughed so hard and cried. Why did we cry you might ask? Well the fact that my thigh right now is as big as my waste was then. My Dad told me Lisa you won't want to watch this its going to hurt your feelings. You were sooooooo skinny. Oh well I like to think my bigger frame is a mark of Mother hood. bahahaha

Then we all went outside to hang out on my parents new deck. It was so nice but the pollen was killing me. I just figured I will just take a pill. ha ha So the kids were playing wiffle ball and I don't know how it happened but we all decided lets play. So we had Sean, Bo, Matt against the rest of us. The rest of us being, Mom, Dad, Laura, Lisa, Randi, Addison, Kenzie, Bella (the two little boys just ran with whoever was in the outfield) HA HA My Mom hit and ran bases, my dad pitched and ran bases. RANDI HIT TWICE AND RAN BASES IN HER HIGH HEALS AND WHITE PANTS. It was the funniest thing to see my prissy little sister running bases in her cork soul HIGH I mean HIGH Wedge shoes. We were having so much fun even the neighbors came outside and were watching us have a blast. I think I will propose that this be the new family tradition when we all get together we play wiffle ball. So I get up to bat and my brother in law SEAN who was pitching caught the ball I hit. And how we play since you don't have a glove in wiffle ball is if you get touched by the ball you are out. Well ol Marcus as I like to call him decided to take my leg off I guess cause he threw the ball and smacked me square in the thigh. YES IT LEFT A BRUISE! Then he gets up to bat hits the ball and that's right you guessed it he hit a line drive right into my knee. Yep I got hurt twice with a freakin wiffle ball. Who gets hurt playing wiffle ball? I guess it was my day today! ha ha All in all we had a great time eating, talking, hanging, playing wiffle ball.

We came home stopped at the grocery store did some major grocery shopping. I am talking cart stacked over flowing. We were in there I know over an hour. Then we came home and Bo unloads I put away that's just how we have done it for years. ha ha So I get everything put away. Then we went to hang out with Bo's Mom and Dad who was working in the yard for a little while. Then I came in and did a couple loads of laundry. I had ran out of laundry detergent in the middle of the week last week and if I don't do a couple loads a day it gets backed up. Boy did it get backed up this week. Well I had to do the dishes from this morning's Mommy Day Breakfast before we could start cooking. It was TACO NIGHT here at the Boatner Ranch. We all sat down ate dinner and talked about what we were doing this week and took that time to talk with the girls about there attitudes and how it was not pleasing to the father. That we know we had been really slacking on the discipline because of the move we knew it was hard but now we are settled and its time to reign them back in. So we laid down the law's that we were going to be very strict one/ONLY warning then its spanking. So after our talk we got the kids in the bed and I went to work on the Proactive Mask thing. So far so good I have noticed my face is smoother and the bigger bumps are getting smaller and I have only used it 4 times. I think I am going to like this stuff. Well then it was off to bed I went. Not a good night Silas slept in our bed why you might ask. Well he feel asleep in our bed and then his daddy feel asleep right beside him and when I got to bed I was to exhausted to even think about picking him up. I went right to sleep I don't even remember putting on PJ's. ha ha
Well That was my Mommy's Day and I loved every single minute of it. I hope everyone had a great day spending it with there children or there Mommas. If your Momma is not on this earth any longer I hope you had a great time thinking of her and how much she has blessed your life. If you you don't have fond Memories of your mother I hope you at least took the time to Thank her for giving you life. The greatest gift of all. Have a great week. Blessings

Self Esteem & Happiness

So I have been thinking about Self Esteem because well I have battled self esteem issues since I was a child and here recently has reared its ugly head again. I was always to skinny, dumb as a rock and felt like the things I had were not as cool as the other kids. Then as an adult it’s more like, a fat cow, still dumb as a rock and basing my happiness in other people and how they think of me. So I decided to do a little research about self esteem and on what the Bible says about it and our happiness.

The definition of Low in Webster’s is an adjective meaning situated or passing below the normal level surface, or base of measurement, or the mean elevation
The Definition of Self Esteem is the confidence and satisfaction a person has in him/herself

We (humans) base our self esteem and ability to feel good about our selves on Beauty, Intelligence, Money, and Possessions. I think it is now the norm for us to measure ourselves against our friends, family and colleges. That if we are not skinny like so and so and have the degree like such and such or the money and “things” that what’s there names have that we are inferior to them. We should not look for esteem boosters in our appearance, or what others think of us and our what we have or don’t have. Rather we should look at these things as the Father does (and I paraphrased these verses, but put the full reference verse at the bottom) He says in 1 Samuel 16:7 that Looks are not everything and that God looks at our hearts humans only look at the face or outward appearance. He also says in Jeremiah 9:23-24 to not brag of our wisdom or of our exploits or our riches. That if we are going to brag about anything that we should brag about knowing and understanding God. I think really what the father is trying to teach with that verse is humility.
Webster’s definition of humility is the quality or state of being humble. The definition of humble is not proud or haughty: not arrogant or assertive. The Bible teaches us in Proverbs 18:12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor. He readily tells us what he wants us to do in the book of Romans 12:1-2 (The Message)

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—you’re sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Woo Hoo how great is our God that he would tell us just actually how he wants us to do things and what the outcome will be. We serve an awesome God who loves us very much and wants us to center all things around him and allow him to build us and our self esteem up. I think I have learned so much from just sitting down this morning and getting in the word. I always say Its not the Quantity but the Quality and that goes for relationships, possessions and the time we spend with our family. Wow is all I have left say that and Blessings!
.

Reference Verses:
1 Samuel 16:7 (the Message)
But God told Samuel, "Looks aren't everything. Don't be impressed with his looks and stature. I've already eliminated him. God judge’s persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; God looks into the heart

Jeremiah 9:23-24 (The Message)
God's Message:
"Don't let the wise brag of their wisdom.
Don't let heroes brag of their exploits.
Don't let the rich brag of their riches.
If you brag, brag of this and this only:
That you understand and know me.
I'm God, and I act in loyal love.
I do what's right and set things right and fair,
and delight in those who do the same things.
These are my trademarks." God's Decree

Proverbs 18:12 (New American Standard) Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor.

Romans 12:1-2 (The Message)

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—you’re sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you

The great No Crib escape and Storms

Thank you guys for some great advice but I think it was all for not. I put Silas in his crib yesterday and told him try to get out after I pulled all the big toys away from his crib that he could use for footing and quickly found out that the dinosaur ball drop thing was the little boost he needed. He took a nap and slept all night in his crib without climbing out! ;o)

Yesterday was a day of chasing Silas around picking up after all his crazy mess's he makes. And this boy can make some crazy mess's. Around 12:30 the school called and the kids were getting out early from school because impending bad weather. So I went to pick the kids up at our store cause that's were the bus drops them off. We leave from there after cleaning up Bo's office that the girls have destroyed. And head to McDonald's to get us some food to hold us over till dinner later. Well we go to turn into McDonald's and the barley made it off of HWY 72 that's how long the line was. I figured we have not got anything better to do. So we sat in the line and listened to Radio Disney singing Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers and some other's they knew that I did not. Well we get home eat our food. The girls go upstairs to watch some Disney and I sat down here watching Dan the Man Satterfield. After like an hour or so I just turned the channel thinking "Dan said the storms were weakening" around 3:00 or sometime around there Bo calls and is screaming Go over to mom and dad's get in the basement We are under a tornado warning the sirens are going off. He freaked me out cause he knows I am always scared of storms. So I get the kids over in the basement under the stairs and threw all sorts of blankets and pillows on top of them. Then My mother in law walks in with my nephew Walker! Anita said the severe storms were over but to stick around there for a while so Walker could play with the kids. Ha Ha I think there was a little jealousy issue going on for Walker. He is not use to having to share Granny when he comes to her house. He kept telling Silas "No Silas" when Si was playing with the toys. Then he knocked Silas off of the exercise bike and hit him in the head with the toy foam bat. So I decided that was my cue to head back to the apartment. It was 5:00 anyway and I normally have supper on the table by then.

As I was walking back to the apartment I saw Bo looking at something and he told me to get the girls and come help him pick up sticks and haul them to the road. Well after I got the kids and got out there it was not just sticks it was a blame Bradford pair tree. Bo got the chainsaw out and Me, Kenzie, Bella and Pop (after he got home) hauled the blown over remains to the road. I have to say it was not that fun but I knew it had to be done. Kenzie was being a little baby was getting wet and dirty. I promise you I wanted to whoop her tail. I kept telling her if she needed someones help she would hope that someone would help her out and not moan and groan and complain. She got a better attitude once I mentioned ice cream. ha ha Bella on the other hand was a happy helper loved helping her Daddy and Papaw out. She would go right over get some sticks and try to hold them over her head and throw them on a pile. I was very proud of her for not once complaining. That's my girl. She kept saying "A little work never hurt nobody" ha ha She is so funny. Well we got the tree cut down and on the road. Then we all came in and got showers cause we were soaking wet and covered in mud. Then we all sat down to have some good ol chili dogs. Bo made us some brownies and then we all went to bed. The girls staid with us since Walker was in the main house. It went very well everyone slept and slept very well might I add. I don't have a clue what we are doing tonight. Its suppose to rain and I need to go get some groceries and a few other things. I hope everyone has a great safe weekend. Its going to be a nasty one. Blessings

The great Crib escape!

So over the weekend Silas learned how to climb out of his pack and play. I thought well since it is the smaller of the pack and plays that it was just easier to get out of. NOPE we put him in Cassie Jo's pack and play in Misty's Motor home. He climbed right out of that bigger one as well. I told Bo this weekend it won't be long and he will be climbing out of his own crib. Well last night some time around 2:30 I hear Silas say Momma Daddy. Then I heard foot steps I opened his bedroom door and he was standing at the door to greet me. YES Silas Warner at 22 months old has learned to shimmy up and down his crib. He climbs in my bed and sleeps all over the place. Silas does not stay in one place to sleep. He has to be right under me. Which boots me right off of my bed. I have a California King Bed Its not like its a full size. We have tons of room but when he is in the bed neither Bo or I get any sleep. I woke up this morning feeling like I did when he was a newborn up and down all night long. So please if any of you Mommy's that read this could give me some much needed advice on how to keep him in his bed I would appreciate it much. Blessings

Your not a Silly Momma your crazy!

One of my Bestest of the Bestest Friends wrote this great little book about her Mom called Silly Momma. Its about silly things Alli said as a child and her Momma just looking at her with loving eyes and let her imagination run wild. When I read this book to Kenzie and Bella for the first time the very first thing out of Bella's mouth was " Mommy you are not silly you are CRAZY" ha ha Typical something from my Bella. You know most people will take the time this Mother's day to write about there Mommas but I think I will take this chance to write about being a Mommy to my three beautiful babies.

MacKenzie came into this world very, quite (that changed)her eyes wide open. She was the first grand child for both my Parents and Bo's Parents. She was the new crowned princess of both of our families. She was the sweet little soul. Always worried about other people if say My Mom would sneeze she would say You alwhite Nanny you alwhite? She was the most loving and cuddling baby I have had. She always wanted to be right in my lap always wanted to sleep right beside me or her Daddy. Her favorite place to be when she was going to sleep was on her Daddy's chest. She ran a close second in the 1st love of her Daddy's life race. ;o) I of course win hands down. ha ha She looks just like me but has her Daddy's personality. She was not the baby long as a matter of fact her baby sister was born just three short months after her second birthday. I have much guilt over not allowing Kenzie to just be a baby. I pushed and pushed the potty training so that I would not have two babies in diapers. I just don't think I allowed my sweet baby to just be a baby. I had another baby and did not have time for two babies so I expected more out of Kenzie then I should have. For some people this does not make sense but it makes perfect sense in my mind. Her name was beautiful to me and I could not find a middle name to go with it. So I was saying MacKenzie Mackenzie what goes with MacKenzie at my sister in laws store and someone was yelling at there kid and screamed Claire right after I said MacKenzie and I LOVED IT. The seal on the deal was when I found out My favoritest man on the planet other than my daddy and Bo MY father in law who I call PoP. His mother's name was Claire. Done I am all about family tradition and all that stuff.

Isabella came into this world RUNNING. I seriously was in labor maybe 15 min and to me labor begins after your water is broken because well lets be honest. The water cushions the baby's bones from grinding on your own bones down there. That or at least in my labor's was the worst part of having babies was not getting my water broken but the pain that comes right after when the babies head is grinding on your girly bone. Well like I said Isabella was born 15 min after my water was broke. My sister had just enough time to break the computer and us have to move rooms and Bella was born. She was the loudest of my babies she came into this world early and never missed a beat. She has always had this crazy funny humor about her. My favorite memory of Bella is one Christmas we were trying to get a Christmas picture with my new nephew Walker and while everyone was focusing on Walker Bella was walking around the Christmas Tree singing Jingle Bells and when it would say Hey in the song she would leap up in the air. She is always making someone laugh from the way she talks she is so country, to the funny thing she says, or the crazy things she does. She is a tiny little girl but she has a huge personality that does not fit her little tiny body. Bella looks just like her father. I mean so much like her father that if I had not been there I would not believe she was mine. Till she got older She may look like her Daddy but she has my Sassy attitude. Always got a head roll, or an eye roll to give. She has def got the middle child syndrome just as I did. I think Bella and I connect on that level. ha ha Isabella was given that name because well I LOVE THE NAME and her name and my have the same meaning. While I was pregnant with Miss Bella one of my very close friends was killed in a car accident her name was Ashley Nicole Evett. So we gave Isabella her middle name Nicole.

Wow fast forward five years, yes five years. I was not about to do to Bella what I feel like in my mind I did to Kenzie. Silas was born 6 weeks early. I had the worst pregnancy with him. I will never forget my Birthday the April before he was born. I had been having some blood in my urine and my crazy doctor called me and said "I am scheduling an emergency appointment with an urologist." He was such a moron he had me all freaked out that my Kidney's were shutting down. Turned out I just had some crystals in my urine that were trying to make a kidney stone. PRIASE YOU JESUS NEVER HAPPEND. But had me so freaked out my husband had to come pick me up from work. My family surprised me with a visit to the Boro that night to cheer me up. My baby sister saved the day that day! But back to the story six weeks early Silas made his entrance into the world. It was a peaceful not crazy delivery like Bella's but when he was born he had a hard time breathing and could not regulate his own body temp. So right after they handed him to me they took him away from me and told me I could not touch him. The NICU team comes in and so I screamed for my older sister who's baby was in the NICU for weeks on end. Laura understands the terms so she goes right into My BIG SISTER Roll and starts talking to the doctors and telling me just what they are really saying. They took him to the NICU to get stabilized. Finally around 11:00 something that night my BIG sister got my baby to me. It was the best feeling in the world to finally get to have my first born son in my arms and healthy. Silas who is named after Bo's great grandfather Silas Reed and His Middle name Warner is after my mother's maiden name. Is always on the go, does not stop for nothing. He is addicted to his gankie his Aunt TeeTee got him a few min after he was born and his pacifier. LORDY BE this boy is not scared of anything. He climbs and falls all the time. HE LOVES race cars and from the moment he started making noises it was sounds like a car. That child may be into everything but you take him to a drag strip and he turns into the most chill and silent baby you have ever met. He loves going to the races with his Daddy. HE IS his daddy's child.

I typed all that out to say. I am so blessed and I know most people say that about there children. But my babies have been through a lot and have not a clue in the world and I pride (yes I said PRIDE) myself on the fact that they don't know anything that happened. We are not the perfect family by no means. I yell and I have a short fuse and my hubby is to passive most of the time. Or oldest child talks to much and gets in trouble almost daily at school for it, my middle child is a sassy little turd and my baby is a wild man. BUT I WOULD NOT TRADE MY LIFE FOR THE WORLD in Good time and in Bad. God has been faithful to see the Boatner family through everything and I LOVE MY CHILDREN AND I LOVE BEING A MOTHER. So Happy Mother's Day to all you Mommy's. Blessings

Monday

Well we got up and got the girls from Anita's house. The girls are sleeping over in the main house for a couple of weeks. See in the apartment there are only two bedrooms. One of these days I am going to take a picture so that you guys can see it. But like I said in a post before our bedroom is loft like you walk up the stairs right into our room and then you go through our room into what use to be mine and Bo's bedroom. And that is where all three of the kids are sleeping. Well Silas is not a very sound sleeper and my girls BOTH talk in there sleep. So when they start talking Silas wakes up and it takes forever to get him back to sleep. So we decided since my in-laws have a guest bedroom in there house that we would just let them sleep over there. They eat dinner with us and take baths here layout all there school clothes and around 8:00-8:15 they head over to the main house to go right to bed. No snack no hang out time just sleep. ;o) They get up brush there teeth and get dressed at Granny's house then come home for Bfast and I do there hair then off to school they go. ;o)

Well the girls did really well this morning got up got dressed without anyone having to tell them over and over they just got up on there own. They got to school early too. ;o) Today was Bella's field day but since they don't allow younger children to come with parents we did not get to go. My Mother in law had to work today at the shop so so far I have not done any of Bella's school activities this year. :o( But we have her field trip to the Zoo next and I get to go. yippee
Silas was in rare form so I did not get to do much of anything except clean up after the messes he would make and finally I just had enough i sent him to bed and got myself dressed and ready to go. Bo had given me some money to go buy me a few shirts and My good friend Misty had told me Goodies had a great sale going so I wanted to hit there. Si did not wake up till 1:45 so when he got up we went to the store to see if I had left my long lost sunglasses there. NOPE and by the time I could get him out of the shop. His sister's were getting off the bus so we all piled in the car and went to Goodies. I got 5 shirts one pair of nice blue jean shorts and the kids each a shirt for 85.00. I was very proud of my bargaining. ha ha Then we ran to Wal-mart to get some veggies to cook for supper then headed home. Bo grilled some steaks and played with the kids while they cooked outside. We ate supper and cleaned up some around the place and sent the kids to Anita's for bedtime. ;o) Then it was night night time. Not much interesting but wow I wrote allot. ha ha Blessings

Wow What a Weekend!

Friday I got up and hit the ground running. I had to make sure all the drawers were sprayed down with Lysol again and then let all the packing start. I just put all our clothes in laundry baskets so that WE could just put them in the closet and not have to put them in the drawers. I know I cleaned them and put new contact paper in but it still just grossed me out that we even had that rodent issue. YUCK!

Well around 3:30 Bo gets home and we do a once over to make sure I remembered it all. HA HA Normally Bo is the one that packs the motor home up since it’s always at his shop. It was my first time since having children that I packed it up. So if anything was missing I could not say Bo you forgot to bring _______. We headed to lake side to get some gas. WOW it was 212.50 to fill it up. I about had a STROKE! Then we headed to blockbuster to get 27 dress's (super cute movie by the way) then to Verizon to get one of those Broad Band access cards. So we could have Internet while sitting at the track. We did not need it but it was very nice to have it this weekend so we could check weather.com since we did not have the satellite set up we had no idea if we were having severe weather or not. From Verizon we headed back to Deals on Wheels to get the trailer with our and the Davis's golf carts on them. While there we realized we had not trailer lights. So we had to wait while Bo & Alan fixed it. We were by this time so late meeting my cousin at the KIA dealership to hitch a ride to High School Musical on Ice tour. Well we got there 15 min late, but it was alright since she was running a little bit late herself. Her garage door started acting up so she had to get it closed. We got to the VBC about 10 min before the show started. We headed down to our seats and the Anderson's headed to there's we made a place we would meet back up after the show. OH MY MERCY that was the bestest show we have seen in a long time. Bo said it was better than his favorite show we have seen Beauty and the Beast on Ice. ha ha Bo just had to buy the kids those light things you get at these shows. HOLY MOLY they were 18.00 a piece. He cracks me up cause we had just said in the car don't ask for anything because we are not getting a bunch of crap. Well our kids never asked for any of it, so I think Bo wanted to reward them for not asking. ha ha Anyhoo He got me and him some cotton candy! ;o) Well after the show we headed straight from there to Montgomery. We did not get there in time to go into the track so we had to sleep outside the gates.

Saturday Morning rolls around and we realize we are having some issues with our generator and that our fridge is not working either. Bo fixed the generator but our fridge that we just had serviced at the end of the season last year was not working again. UGHHHH this trip is getting expensive. So I take our milk and stuff we need cold over to Misty's motor home. THANK GOODNESS they were there and had room for our stuff. Well somewhere around 9:00 is started raining and I mean pouring down thunder lightening. So we decided since we were not going to be able to run for some time since it would take a couple hours to get the track dried after the rain stopped we would head out to Sam's. So we all piled in our motor home since we did not have a big trailer attached. All the Boatner's and all the Davis Clan and then Heath's friend Woody. We looked like a band of gypsy’s piling out of that motor home. HA HA We bought some shorts and some capri's for me. While we were walking out of Sam's we saw the sun trying to peek out and we all got excited and clapping. Those folks thought we were nuts. Well we went to eat and let me just say there are reason's we don't take our 2 year old out. GOSH he was cranky. We got back to the track and started racing. We got put out 1st and 2nd round so we hung out with Misty and Heath till it was bed time.

Sunday got up and was not feeling so good so I went back to bed. Bo and the kids went to church in the grand stands. Isn't that cool that we have a preacher that travels with us and has an hour or less sermon every Sunday. I just think that its way cool. I also love that at all George Howard tracks that I have been to they broadcast the sermons over the loud speaker so even if you are not in the stands you get to hear it. Those that are not believers still get to hear a wonderful sermon of Christ Love. I think it’s so neat. Well then we started racing. Bo won first round then got beat 2nd and bought back in then got beat 3rd round. So we started packing up getting ready to come home. We waiting around to see how Heath did and he broke a Tranny so we had to help load the cars into his trailer and then our golf carts onto our open trailer. Then it was homeward bound. We had a great weekend and very tiring but I think Bo got to forget all about the house stuff and just have a good time. He said he did not care if he won or not but just glad to have a good time. ;o) Well I got lots of laundry to do so I better get going. Blessings

Winter Guest

Well this week has been so stressful for my husband actually the past two weeks has been stressful. I am doing any and all things I can to pitch in and help him out. I have scrubbed things I normally don't scrub and packed things that I normally leave to Bo. I have done my best to bite my tongue and not grip at him. I realize that this has been very rough on him. I just want everything to go as smooth for him as possible. So anyway Bo has not been racing since the TURKEY TROTS which is the Thanksgiving weekend race. Oddly enough a hectic drag strip is like a private beach to my husband. He is so relaxed and in his element that I decided that we would travel this weekend to a Three day weekend race.

So with that being said I told my stressed Hubby bring the motor home baby I will clean it strip the beds and start loading. Well when I go to look in the drawer's to see what was left over the winter I FOUND MICE POOP. I was so sick every drawer I opened there was more. On our bed on the floor in the bathrooms in the cabinets where our pots and pans were. In the linen cabinets. On our Table. I will stop now I am pretty sure you all get the picture. I had to bleach the whole motor home. Pull every thing out wash all the dishes again all the pots and pans. Wash all linens and we have a ton in the motor home. Then wash all the clothes that were left in there. So I decided to pull all the drawers out of the motor home and spray them with bleach and let them dry and line them again with contact paper. WOW what a chore. I scrubbed the floor on my hands and knee's with bleach and paper towels. Vacuumed up all the Poop. UGHHHHH

Last night after we got everything all cleaned and ready for me to start loading today. Bo said just to be safe we are going to put some traps out. So as we are cutting the lights off Bo sets traps. We come in and have to take showers. Bo and Silas went to bed I had more laundry to do. So I did a little more laundry then went to bed. I don't remember my head hitting the pillow. ha ha We were beat.

This morning I awoke to my hubby running up the stairs excited as can be. I GOT TWO I GOT TWO! I was like what? He said I caught two mice. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww They were still in there. I gotta go buy some more Lysol and clean again. I gotta get busy we got a busy day planned. We have to meet my cousin Mistee in Huntsville at 5:30 to go eat before we head to High School Musical on Ice! Well I hope everyone has a great weekend. Blessings

Worlds longest Blog but Gotta keep ya up to date!

WoW there has been so much going on that I forgot to publish the detail of my Birthday get away! :o( I had it all written but forgot to post it. Sorry So I posted it earlier today!

Lets see what do I remember ha ha April 17th I kept my nephew Canaan He had tubes and his tonsils taken out earlier that week and he could not go to school for a full week so our family pitched in and watched him that week so Laura and Sean could save there vacation days. We gotta have some so that later in the year they have enough to travel to Africa to pick up my niece Mercy. Have I mentioned I am so excited about this. Its really an emotional roller coaster for my sister and I am proud of the way she is handling it. For watching CT for her she took me and Silas out to lunch. Laura and I don't ever really get to sit down and have a one on one conversation and I got to tell her how I have been feeling here lately with all the stress's in my life. So it was nice and a very productive meal. ;o)

Well on April 19th we met some friends of ours at Chucky Cheese to hang out. With there kids and it was Bella's Birthday so we let her choose where we were going to hang so she chose Chucky. :o( Anyone that knows me knows I hate me some Chucky Cheese I refer to it as Parent Purgatory! ha ha We had a good time. Then after we left there Misty sent her kids home with her Mom and then Silas, Bo and Heath all went out to the drag strip to watch. Misty, Me, Kenzie and Bella went to the mall. We hit Justice up they had really good sales so we got our girls some clothes then went to the other mall to make Bears for them at Build a Bear. They had a great time but Misty and I were ready to pull our blame hair out. ;o) I got a couple things for myself which is odd. I am to much like my mother I would rather buy for Bo or the kids than me. My mom was that way she would walk around with holes in her garments and we would be sporting the latest and greatest.

Well we decided it was time to move out of the house since our closing date was coming up so quick. So Friday Some of our BEST friends volunteered to help us so we took them up on the offer. WE LOVE to hang out with the Garrisons so while we were eating Linds says "Lisa there is a strange man on your screened in porch" looked up it was the man buying our house. I thought OH LORD THIS IS NOT GOOD. So we waited it out and Bo finally comes in after a little bit and says Von needs to go ahead and move in so I told him we would be out by Sunday and that he could go ahead and move in since he is going to close before us that way he won't have to stay in a hotel with 7 people. So that put us into OVER DRIVE. We did not get in bed till 2:00 am moving stuff into our old apartment behind the in laws house. Then that Saturday I staid here in the apartment to try and straighten up some of the mess and get some things organized while Bo, Rashad, Kenzie, Mom and Dad (yes Buddy and Martha came down from Grant to help) We kept on trucking and did not stop till well after dark on Saturday. Sunday we had to finish getting things settled cause the girls are going to need some normalcy.

Monday I spent the day putting things where they need to go and trying to clean this place up while still doing my normal house wife duties Laundry and house choirs. It has been stressful to say the least. We went up to the Lands house to get our hair done. We always love going up to there house my kids love there kids there grown 18 year old children ha ha Really though they are great kids and I don't mind my kids being around them at all. They are really good roll models for my girls!

Tuesday- I kept Cohen for Alli she is stressing about childcare. I told her she needed to try and find someone to keep him full time because I can't here in this small apartment. I normally keep Cohen locked in my bedroom because with Silas being just a baby himself you just can't tell what accident might happen. So being in this apartment I have no way to lock Cohen into a room because my bedroom is loft like you walk up stairs and there is my bedroom. There is no door. Well Bo calls to tell me Kenzie's school called her face is covered in a rash and want him to bring something to treat it. So he takes old Benadryl gel (that expired in 99) ha ha ha Well he gets back to work and an hour later they called to say come get her. So he did and just kept her at the store and let her sleep in my father in laws office. She got home bless her bones she is covered from head to town with small itchy bumps. Bo grilled some chicken and I made the pasta and the alfredo sauce and we had chicken alfredo. It was the first time in a long time that all five of us got to sit at a table together and talk and enjoy a meal. It was wonderful.

Wednesday- I did not have Cohen cause well I was not sure what Kenzie had. Today was very hectic I had so much to do to get ready for our trip. We were getting Kenzie ready to go to the doctor when My Mother in law said she would take her for me. It is so wonderful to have a Mother in law that would do this for me. My Girls love her so much and when they are sick would rather be with her anyway. When they are sick she puts them in her great big bed all to themselves puts movies on for them and makes them home made chicken noodle soup and gives them ice cream. I would want to be there myself. ha ha So they go to the doctor and they said it was a food allergy or a Virus either way there was no way to find out cause by the time we got in with an allergist it would have been gone. The only thing different she had was one of those new fruit smoothies that come in a bottle. So we won't be having those anytime soon. ;o) I got so much done yesterday it was crazy. I scrubbed and scrubbed the kitchen and the bathrooms, got the bathrooms all organized. Cleaned my room and living room did all the laundry even washed bed coveres for the motor home and cleaned all the motor home dishes. ha ha I worked my hiney off yesterday. Sometime after 5:00 my hubby calls and says he is going to be late the fuel pump went out on his dragster so I said well let me just meet you there. So when I got there it was just like old time's at the drag strip I was helping as much as I could washed the car down and turned the power on and off when he told me just doing whatever he needed to make it easier on him. Our Friends Misty and Heath Davis came up to pick up Bo's car for him. Our Trailer we normally pull with is full of Brooms for the Lions club's broom sale so they are going to pull it to the drag strip this weekend for us and we are going to pull our golf. They got here we loaded car's and fuel. Then we all went to eat at a local Mexican restaurant. We had a good old time. Then Me Bo and kids all went to Walmart to buy grocery for the race. Then came home and put the kids in there bed and I finished up some things then off to bed we went. It was somewhere around 10:00 cause I know I caught half the news.

Today I woke up early got some things packed and had a little time of praise and worship with my coffee. I am so thankful to the father for working all things out for my family's good. We are really trusting the father to lead us right now to the best home for us. Right now we are living here and loving being back where it all began. I hope everyone has had a great week. Blessings
