I am so Ashamed

My cousin use to say when I did not post pictures You should be ashamed of yourself. ha ha So I just realized I had not posted pictures of my children on Halloween. We met up with one of dearest friends and her sister's to take our children door to door trick or treating then later onto Scottsboro campus Harvest Fest for about an hour. Here are the pictures! House update soon I promise! Here are the pictures of my Geisha's and Ninja! Blessing

Our Blessing!

This past weekend we laid to rest a great man who was the glue that held his family together. My Uncle was a great man and went over and above what normal parents and grandparents do. I know my cousin's are going to miss him I pray that through there grief they would find comfort from the ultimate comforter and realize life is just to short to not live for Christ! We are not promised tomorrow!

This weekend the most amazing thing happened! As most of you know my older sister is adopting a precious little miracle from Ethiopia. Laura and Sean were a little blind sided by how much money that was due when you accept a referral. We began to pray and honestly seek the father and one of our Church family had this great idea of making a Facebook group named 100 people pledging to send 75.00. We were floored at the response and just amazed that so many people cared about the adoption issue. Laura had to turn the money in Monday and on Saturday we were still a almost at our goal. We just kept on praying and seeking the father. Sunday morning third service my husband comes running I mean running out of the Bayou and says your sister just called and said for you to pick up the blame phone! I thought Oh my Lord something horrible has happened because I just saw here like 30 min before at church. She starts screaming telling me that someone handed her a check at church then she got home and someone had paypal her the rest of the amount she needed I mean down to the last cent NO MORE NO LESS. I was standing in the middle of the lobby in our little praiser's wanting to scream to the top of my lungs and dance a jig all I could do was stand there doubled over in shock and cry like a big ol baby. My Mother and I were talking about it yesterday why in the world are we so surprised that God sent that money to us? Pastor had just preached a message and in this message he said Our God is a God of suddenly. He said we will go through things and wonder why did we have to go through all this and then when we get there its like Suddenly we forget the pains. That is just how we felt we were stressing I am not gonna lie but we were trying to keep each other's arms lifted above the sea of doubt. When we knew for a fact we had the money to bring our new baby niece home it was like Suddenly we forgot all that stress and pain. We serve an awesome and amazing God and I just had to share this miracle we have walked in this weekend.

On another note Hubby and I are going to renew our wedding vows this summer! We have already put the wheels into motion to have our very first wedding! hee hee My sister's and I are looking at dresses I don't want anything poofy and froo froo because well that's not me I was thinking more on the lines of straight and elegant. We are super excited its gonna be a some what small event. We are however gonna party hardy after the renewal so we are super excited about dancing the night away with our closest friends and family! Hubby and I did not start our marriage off on good Godly principles and have been through things most will never know about but we felt like now with our 10 year wedding anniversary coming up was the perfect time to finally have a "wedding" and to make a new covenant to one another before the Lord and family. I am kinda excited because our Anniversary lands on a Saturday this year so we feel like this is all working out! I think I am going to set Hubby into working on his vows now. ha ha Lord knows it will take him 7 months to get it finished. Pray for us building a house and a wedding. WOW we must be nuts!

I will post an update about the house in a little while right now I have dishes and laundry to get done and I think I smell a little surprise from "S". I hope everyone has a great Veterans day remember to Thank a service man past or present. They are willing to put it all on the line for your freedom. So respect there willingness to serve. I hope everyone has a great week. Blessings!

He passed away!

Hubby and I went to the hospital last night after we left my sister's house. We got there around 9:30 and Uncle was still not in his room. I was standing there talking to my cousins when they brought him into his room. Bless his heart he was making the most awful sounds when he breathed. It just broke my heart to sit there and watch this man fight to stay alive. They took him off the vent around 8ish and he fought it and fought it until around 1:20 this morning. I have to go get started on my day that includes ironing clothes for a viewing and a funeral! Please remember the family in your prayers. Thank you guys so much! Have a blessed weekend!

Prayer Request Please

My Uncle had a massive stroke last night and was up most of the night throwing up! The family thought it was just from the surgery he had earlier in the evening to remove the clot. However this morning we learned that it was from a severe brain bleed. He has a DNR order and the doctor's told my cousin and Daddy a little while ago that relieving the pressure on his brain would be considered drastic measures and won't be doing that so they are just giving him medication to make him comfortable. They said that the damage from the stroke and the pressure on his brain from the bleed probably had done massive damage. So who knows what kinda of shape he would be in if we just left him on life support! Also his lungs are filling up with fluid. So please be praying for my Uncle this afternoon that he would be in No pain. Pray for my family its never easy to see someone you love so dearly in this much pain. Thank you guys for your prayers! I love you all I will update later I am going to get a shower now and head up to the hospital. Blessings

Thankful Thursday!

Brooke I stole your flower it was a lot prettier than my plane pink box! LOVE YOU!!! ;)

For those of you who do not know what Thankful Thursday is I thought I would tell ya!
Everyday we should give thanks for all the blessings we have in our lives. I saw a few of my friends LeighAnne and Brooke doing these every Thursday Post and wanted to be apart of them. On Thursdays you take the time to write out a few things you are thankful for. So here ya go here is a list of mine on November 6th 2008!

I am Thankful that God is still on the throne no matter who MY president is.

I am thankful for a GODLY husband that wants to raise 3 Godly children into Godly Adults. The same vision for your children is a huge blessing!

I am Thankful that the Father has given me 2 Godly parents and an amazing set of God given best friends in Laura and Randi. I am blessed beyond measure!

I am thankful that the money to bring Mercy home is coming in. (please let me know if you wanna donate to this wonderful cause!)

I am thankful for my little apartment because we all know Love grows best in little houses!

I am so thankful for the friendship's God has given me those I get to see at least once a week and for the relationship's through email/text/blogger/facebook!

I am thankful my house is coming along and that I will have a beautiful home in the end!

I am thankful for my Mother and Father in law who love us and want to be apart of our lives and help us whenever they can even when they are extremely exhausted.

I am thankful for the chance to get away for a week with the hubby and hubby ALONE in Mexico. More details on that one to come. Time to celebrate 10 years of marriage all year long!

God has been so faithful to me and my family. Those are just a few of the many things in my life I am thankful for. I could go on and on but like I said last week and probably will till the day I die. That the one thing I am thankful most of all for is God sending his son Jesus to die on the cross for mine and your sins. If you have not asked him into your life to be the Lord of your life please do it only take a second. Lord I love you I need you come into my life and make me a new creation in you! I hope everyone has had a great week. I know we have. GOD IS GREAT and GREATLY TO BE PRAISED! Blessings

One Nation Under God!

Well can I get a Praise you Jesus it is all over! I have to say I hate politics its not really my strong suit. My sister Laura on the other hand she is so knowledgeable on the matter that I think she loves it. ha ha I don't normally say much but I do have strong opinions, and I'll be glad to tell you my believes if you ask me. I will always vote conservatively that is just who I am. So yeah i was a disappointed on Tuesday night. However I was not "trippin" No matter if who you voted for you got a new president and its time to move on from here. We are after all One Nation Under God. As a Christian and as an American Citizen President Elect Obama will have my respect and my support. Personally my views do not line up with his policy but I will continue to pray for him and his staff. We are after all called to pray for our leaders.

I have to say though I am so disappointed in some people. It is one thing to be disappointed that your pick got beat but to act like the sky is falling is a little coo coo for coco puffs. Neither one of these candidates will give America what America really is looking for. America is looking for Hope and change, but the only thing that will give them Hope and change there future is Jesus Christ. I have to admit I was very upset when I saw that Obama was our president and for you four people that believe I did not vote for him because of his race really do not know me at all. Race has NEVER been an issue with me my best friend growing up were African/American actually ha ha she was straight African. I pride myself (yes I know pride comes before a fall) that I was raised by two of the most color blind people in the world. Our parents taught us that God looks on the inside not by the color of someones skin. For crying out loud Rashad practically lives with us and if you think he is white you have lost your mind oh and have you not noticed I will soon have an African niece oh and ummm one of my very good friends is married to an African American man. So it was totally not a racial issue with me it was more of a moral issue. I am not so much upset with him as a person it is his policies and the people I believe will be his staff and the liberal views I believe they will impose on me and my conservative family. So folks no matter who you voted for this election is a very historical moment in the United States of America. Be proud to have been apart of the process and remember that God is still in control when we start to panic and scream I am leaving the country we are saying that God can not fix this. OUCH Oh and as I read on someone else's blog go ahead leave the country it may do you a world of good to see how some of these other country's are. Have a blessed weekend! Thankful Thursday's coming up!

I voted

So I got out and voted today! I voiced my opinion I prayed and thought long and hard and had many discussions with my husband, mom, dad and sisters about what they thought! I have to say I am seriously disappointed in a lot of things that in BOTH candidates but it came down to whom I thought was RIGHT for my country! Will I throw a fit, cry scream and freak out if my candidate looses. NO I won't because no matter who wins God is still in control of this world. The Bile says that he is the same yesterday today and forever. So yes even if McCain or Obama get in office people its not the end of the world. Things as we know it will change but one thing that will remain the same is that God is still on the throne! We are teaching our kids in Kinderchurch the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future! Americans are looking to these two men to be there hope and be there future AMERICA WAKE UP the only person that can give you HOPE and a FUTURE is Jesus Christ! Barack Obama nor John McCain are the savior of the world. TO be perfectly honest I was not to excited about either candidate but the one thing I know is that we as Christians are called to pray for our leader's and that is what I am going to do no matter who wins. I will pray for our leadership and just as Pastor Rusty said this past Sunday NO matter who wins that God is still on the throne and he will be on the the throne Wednesday morning! So America you voted you voiced your opinion. Now lets move on from here with all the division and all the slander and cover whomever it may be in our prayers! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
